Sundate at Kaulayaw Coffee, Sumulong, Antipolo

So DH and I were out on a quick Sunday ride and coffee date post the anniversary.  We've always wanted to have coffee at Kaulayaw Coffee, a popular coffee shop & hangout place in Antipolo because of it's unique vibe, breathtaking views and of course, good coffee.

Kaulayaw Coffee is located alongside Sumulong Highway, you can't miss it because you'll pass the common destinations in Sumulong like the Padis Point, Leonardos and Cloud 9.  They open at 7am but you need to be early as 6:00 or 6:30 am because people are already lining up from the outside. I'm glad we arrive thirty minutes before they opened and was able to secure a seat.

We were hoping to have full breakfast but they don't have available from their menu yet except for coffee. I had "Liyag" while my "date" had "Irog" coffee for himself. I just love how they named the coffee variants in their menu after the tagalog endearments for loved ones or special someone, it's unique & deeply rooted to our very own culture. We both enjoyed our coffee but of course it would have been more enjoyable if we're able to order tapsilog too :)

After finishing our coffee from the third floor, we took quick photos in the second floor where most guests are also taking advantage of the beautiful view from the terrace. We had few photos but we stayed a bit longer to appreciate the cold breeze as it slowly transition to the warmth of a morning sun.

Antipolo is such a beautiful city and we'll never get tired of appreciating the mountain views and nature's gift of solace whenever we come to our now considered 'second' home city. There's just so much more to explore like this beautiful place, Kaulayaw Coffee.

21 Years. Mighty glad we stayed. To more road trips and coffee dates!
