Product Review: Unilab's Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub

I discovered Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub about two years ago and the tub’s packaging was in green label then.  Since then, I became a fan, I even bought quite a lot on Christmas of 2011 and gifted to my girlfriends.

I actually recommended Asian Secrets Body Scrub to my friends before because of it’s exfoliating power that indeed gave my skin fair results after days of using it.  It works well when you use it before bathing and when the skin is still dry. You can already notice the smoothness of your skin after rinsing.  In my case I don’t need to use lotion after because my skin feels really smooth and soft already.

After some hiatus of not using body scrubs, I’m glad that Unilab send some samples for review.  I didn’t know that it has a new label already and if the variants are also different from the one that I used before.  I guess not because the scent is different and I actually like it more.  When I tried the variant with licorice and mulberry extract, I knew it smells better than the old one however, the texture and beads have the same effect on skin. The scrub work smoothly on the skin and doesn’t leave mine scratched or red unlike the other brand of scrubs I tried before.  After scrubbing, I usually leave it stay on for five minutes or while I work on my hair before rinsing.  Instantly, my skin feels softer and smoother on the first day of using it.

Should I continue using it? Of course! It did give me great results before and I’m sure Unilab has made their product even better to meet the changing demands for skin care products.  Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub is available in drug stores and supermarket nationwide.

Philippine Stagers Foundation commemorates 150th year of Andres Bonifacio in a special musical

After attending Philippines Stagers Foundation’s kick-off party last June 7, I am really excited to attend the press preview of PSF’s offering for this season.  Entitled “Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela", is a musical that is set to stage on July 19 at the Tanghalang Pasigueno in Pasig City.

Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela” is indeed a fierce production that will present the life of Andres Bonifacio and the many ‘truths’ that I myself will have yet to discover. The artistic director and award-winning stage actor, Atty. Vince Tañada is spearheading once again a team of creative minds and multi-talented individuals in this production after a series of successful shows for 2012’s “Joe: The Filipino Rock'sical”. Director Tañada shares that he had extensive study and consultation to various history books and institutions prior to coming up with this production.

Shop, Unwind and Celebrate Fashion at the Robinsons Place Manila

Robinsons Place Manila makes shopping and malling more fun for the public with three days of fun fab event to look forward to this weekend.  The “Ramp Up Your Style: The Robinsons Place Manila Fashion Weekend” started today and presented seven apparel brands that featured back-to-school apparels, young office wears, some post-summer wears and more smart casuals from Ensembles, Freeway, Solo, Mags, Tomato, Bayo and Kamiseta.

Seeing my most favorite brands in the runway is the real highlights of the show for me.  Before the baby weight took its toll on my current size, Bayo, Freeway, Tomato and Kamiseta are my go-to-places for all my fashion fixes.  I just love their styles and I still believe that every piece is tailored for every woman of all genres.

I’m really glad I got the chance again to see the latest from the racks of my favorite brands came to life as the models donning the collection walked in the ramp. I suspect regret and envy would kick-in but to my surprise, I enjoyed the show feeling inspired.  The awesome collection would really encourage anyone to take it to their closet, and I myself feel motivated to work on my size because I need to have a grab on these pieces too! Checkout from the photos below these fashions for keeps I’m talking about and tell me you wouldn't want a piece of them too.

GMA 7 remade a successful 90’s drama series; Get to know the New Anna KareNina

In a recent blogcon organized by the GMA Artist Center for the cast of their new prime time show, the remake of AnnaKarenNina, I had the chance to get to know three of the prime teen stars of the kapuso network.

Barbie Forteza, Krystal Reyes and Joyce Ching were chosen to take the lead roles previously portrayed by then popular teen actresses Sunshine Dizon, Kim delos Santos and Antonette Taus.  To keep up with the public’s high expectation after the success of the original show is quite hard says the three teen stars, however, they vowed to do their best to give new flavors to the remade story and hopefully give justice to the roles they were entrusted to.
