Shoutout: There should be "NO OTHER WOMAN!"

The first time I saw the trailer of this movie, I immediately tweeted one of my good friends Ely to inform him about this new film showing in theaters soon.  Apparently, he had seen the trailer too and has blogged about already, he's really fast! I must say his take on this movie is very well written and expressed which excites me more and quickly convinced myself to not to miss as it premieres on September 28.

After hearing and seeing so many people post about the movie "No Other Woman" particularly quoting one of the actress in the movie, Carmi Martin and her funny lines, I've finally decided to have a movie date with my mom and my younger sis this weekend to watch this movie. At first I thought this should be watched by husbands and wives and couples but my DH doesn't want to go with me. He said he can't take my being emotional inside the cinema whenever I watch movies like this with heavy-drama scenes, complicated situations (which I can easily relate to our real life or to him for that matter hahaha) and confrontational scenes that breaks a heart. Well, he's actually right, it's not fair that I'll be dragged with the story and later he'll get bad image on me, funny but it’s often true. For me, a great movie has to be really relatable, its normal that you get dragged else the movie is fail. In this case, "No Other Woman" pinched a part of my heart plus you'll hear the background theme song sung by Juris, who wouldn't be really emotional? I’m excited; Sunday is the date, No Other Woman ftw!

A backgrounder for you, please read and enjoy!

"NO OTHER WOMAN"

How can love be perfect? How can passion be flawed? How can love and passion elicit change?

Star Cinema and Viva Films proudly brings to the big screen another compelling love-drama that answers these “hows” in their new movie, “Now Other Woman”.

Directed by Ruel S. Bayani, the story delves into the realms of love, passion, deceit and obsession “No Other Woman” boasts of casting the country’s most desirable leads, Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes in what could be the most demanding, provocative and emotionally-charged roles of their careers!

Anne Curtis is Kara Zalderiaga, a young, beautiful carefree socialite who can and will get whatever she wants. She has had many boyfriends but has continuously been emotionally-detached to love.  To Kara, life is all fun and in “love”, no strings attached.  But deep in her core, she has been longing not just to be desired and admired but likewise appreciated and truly loved.

Derek Ramsay is Ram Escalar, a charming, dedicated furniture salesman husband driven by his ambition to prove himself to the world.  To Ram, being a good husband that can provide the best life to his family is a lifelong goal.  He is obsessed with his idea of living out of the shadows of his father-in-law and away from the image of his estranged father.

Cristine Reyes is Charmaine Escaler the beautiful “perfect” wife, calculating, prim and proper to a fault.  Charmaine is concerned with image and takes her role as an ideal wife to heart. To Charmaine, she will let nothing and no one ruin the perfection she has created for her family.

How will these three lives change?  How can the once carefree mistress become clingy to the only man who believed and appreciated her and destroy both her family’s name and the family of the one she loves?  How can an ideal husband be overcome by passion and commit the biggest mistake of his life?  How can the “perfect” wife save her marriage and not become an appalling and monstrous version of herself?  Amidst these tensions, scandals, confrontations and their emotions, the three would eventually learn a lesson that will change their lives forever…

For Anne, playing the role of a mistress is no doubt a brave and bold career move.  After all, we’ve been used to seeing her in gold old sweet roles. To see her portray Kara should be a must-watch! As for Derek, taking the sole male lead is a first. He has always been the third party in his past big-screen roles.  But this time, he is the center of it all.  Finally, Derek is out to prove that he can be the lead after all.  And as for Cristine, playing the mistress role could have been predictable because of her sexy image, but in “No Other Woman”, she defies that predictability by portraying the cheated wife role and will show to the world that she could be the perfect one for it and no other!

Love, passion, deceit, obsession.  “No Other Woman” will surely fire-up the big screen as it hits over 100 theaters nationwide on September 28, 2011.

A Toddler's First MRT Ride :)

A few months ago, my dearest baby experienced his very first train ride :) I guess we're both excited that time.  As a mom, it makes my heart big every time I see him enjoy the things he do. See for instance the photo below :)

Prior to that, I asked him if he wants to be riding in a train soon when we were watching one of his favorite disney shows - Chuggington.  He said yes and even included Thomas (also from another disney show) in our conversation. He anticipated that event I know that's why even if the weather was quite not good one Saturday weekend, we pursued on our Trinoma trip and rode the MRT just the two of us!

Almost there! He's very excited he even walked ahead of me to the escalator =)

Stationed and waiting for our ride :)

Acting so cool he even posed for a "pogi" shot.

When he heard the loud sound which signals the train coming, he became quite uneasy. He was a bit in fear before boarding in thus the photo below..

Despite bits of uneasiness, he preferred to stand beside the door. I just held his arms very tight as the train started to move. I actually want him to see the view outside thus I let him stay there although a woman offered her seat to us. I appreciate but told her my son wants to see the view outside since its his first time to ride a train. :)

True enough, Robin is in bliss! :)

After two stops, we were able to get a vacant seat and Robin still excited looking at the window, it was raining outside already. Funny is, he was asking me where is Thomas' face. I told him it was at the front train and just told him that it looks the same. Seems he was imagining and just settled and continue watching by the window.

Before the train reached the final station, also our destination I asked Robin if he's happy and just gave me that smile :)

Unproductive Blogger

The month of August is so boooo!! Gosh, I only had 4 blog posts! I am so ashamed of myself that I let procrastination hits on me again, my drafts were starting to accumulate dust in the dashboard, tsk, tsk, tsk.

Sometimes, I really couldn't find the amp to start a blog, even if great stories are running through my head. Its been a burden I'm sure for other bloggers too out there. I have the stories and yet the passion and drive seems to be lacking at times. I hope this month would be way different, I wish to blog more, share lots of stories, to express my thoughts, will you be a productive month, September? Please...please..

Oh Lord, please grant me that much needed drive...and passion..and energy and mostly, time to be truly committed in this thing I've learned to love since day one. Thank You.

So September, LEGGO!
